Scientists determined that trough the satellites, which are around the Earth, they can locate changes in the vegetation, in the color of the water and in the temperature, which is going to help them to see the outburst of an epidemic.
"The outburst of some diseases, which are transferred from man to man, are also related with changes in the environment and climate", explained Antonio Gel from the French national center of cosmic studies.
Malaria, cholera and some forms of meningitis are only part of the diseases, which outburst can be predicted with the help of the satellites. The deadly diseases are a threat to over 3.5 billion people and take around 3 million lives every year.
"Thanks to the information, which the satellite pictures provide, we will make maps of the most threatened areas, so we can ease the work of the epidemiologists. If measures are taken early enough, the victims of those diseases will be less", claims the scientist.
